Your first step is simply calling our Roslyn, Riverhead, or Nesconset office to schedule your appointment. When you call, let us know if you’re feeling anxious. This isn’t a weakness; it’s helpful information. We’ll note it in your file so our team can take extra care explaining everything and moving at your pace.
We’ll also ask for your dental insurance information and any records from a previous dentist if you have them. If you don’t have recent X-rays, no problem. We’ll take care of everything here.
Arriving at Our Office

The New Patient Exam
Once you’re settled in a treatment room, one of our dentists will come in to meet you. We don’t start with a lecture or a long list of problems. We start by listening. Then we’ll do a gentle, thorough examination. This typically includes:

If You Need Treatment

If you have gum disease or other issues that require more extensive treatment, we may schedule a follow-up visit for a deeper cleaning. We’ll explain why and what to expect.
Leaving With a Plan
Before you leave, we’ll make sure you understand everything we discussed. You’ll have a clear picture of your oral health, any recommended treatments, and what to do next. If you have questions, we want to hear them. If you need time to think, that’s fine too.
